Skincare Routine Steps: Correct order to layer the products!

Skincare is not Makeup

It's really difficult to find your way around to cosmetics. The cosmetic industry is really complicated and there are a lot of products in our face 24/7 telling us what we should buy what we should use how we should do it and it's really difficult to navigate there's makeup and skincare a lot of times those are tied together but I'm going to tell you why they're a bit separate and how easy they are to figure out.

Makeup is different than skincare because with makeup products you're able to instantly see a difference when you test a foundation and eyeshadow you're able to see the pigment.  What isn't skincare however is a little bit different and here's why. With skincare you can't or very rarely can tell a difference the very first time use it when you use a serum the first time you use it your skin may feel a little bit moisturize but you're really not going to notice the difference you notice a difference with skincare over time it takes a while to figure out if the product is good or not.

Doing skincare for one day will not make you glow. you need to be consistent. Consistency is the key.

Here is the Routine

Basically there is 3 step skincare routine and 10 step korean skincare routine. Depending on your needs you can follow either one.

3 Step Skincare Routine

1. Cleanser
2. Moisturizer
3. Sunscreen

Cleanser

Cleansing is probably THE most important skincare step in our routine, because all that nasty, all that grime, all that oil... and it sets the base for all the products that come on to really be able to sink through our skin. Always use a gentle cleanser. But since there are so many different types of gentle cleansers today, we can't help but wonder, "What gentle cleanser best fits my skin type?" Skincare varies from person to person,  and skin type to skin type.

What defines a gentle cleanser? They're referred to cleansers that are made without irritating ingredients that don't leave the skin feeling stripped, tight or dried out. And once again, this will differ for different people depending on your skin type, and specific ingredients that may irritate you but maybe not other people. Then texture-wise, gentle cleansers can generally be the ones that come in a gel, milky and cream consistency, that's lightweight and easily spreadable. And they're formulated in a way that contains little to no fragrance, is non-comedogenic and is also hypoallergenic.

My Recommendation for gentle cleanser: Cetaphil, Cera Ve and Simple.

Moisturizer

A moisturizer helps in anti-aging, keeping oily skin not so oily, keeping dry skin hydrated, but also you're actually protecting the skin from harmful environmental factors. There are so many moisturizers out there, you need to find which texture suits your skin type, at the same time when to know to switch up your moisturizers. So what are moisturizers, moisturizers are creams or lotions that are designed to help hydrate and retain moisture in the skin, they typically contain beneficial ingredients to help the skin, such as essential oils herbal extracts and chemicals to handle oil control, and also reduce irritation.

There are actually three different types of moisturizers, occlusives, emollients and humectants, so occlusives basically help to trap the moisture that's already in your skin from kind of evaporating out, and then we have emollients to refer to products that soften to protect to moisturize and also lubricate the skin, so this is like a conditioner for your hair, but for your skin, and then we have humectants which are moisturizers that help encourage young cells to emerge to the surface of the skin, and reduce any flakiness and dry skin, moisturizers with the added emollients and humectants actually help keep the skin moisturised but also keeps it soft and supple and glowing. so normally our body already naturally performs all these functions, but moisturizers are adding an external factor to help our skin stay soft and supple like a baby.

My Recommendations: Minimalist, Cera Ve, Cetaphil

Sunscreen

UVB is the Ray that typically causes sunburns sunspots freckling hyperpigmentation .UVA rays are able to reach deeper into a skin because of its longer wavelength so that's why it's able to actually reach the DNA and the nucleus of our skin cells and actually damage the DNA so that's what really causes further aging premature wrinkling formation and this is also what can ultimately cause skin cancer. Basically all the little truths of sunscreen it stands for sun protection factor so SPF determines the protection of UVB rays and how much it can protect you before it starts burning.

These days, skincare and cosmetics companies are packing SPF into a variety of their products. We're talking lotions, sticks, powders, sprays. It's extensive. So basically there are two types of sunscreen physical and chemical suncreen. Its not like you can skip suncreen when you are home. you should always wear a suncreen.

My Recommendations: Avene, Minimalist , Re equil.

Vitamin C

If you want to brighten your skin and get that glow, Use a vitamin c serum twice a day.
Vitamin C is one of those cult favorite ingredients, but has made a name for itself in the skincare world to be a little hard to work with because of its, unstable nature. Maybe like that unstable, sensitive friend that you might have. But when you probably figure out how to, use or incorporate it into your skincare routine. It can completely, brighten, lighten and protect your entire face and skin from premature signs of aging. Vitamin C also helps our body produce protein, and it's recommended to help fight colds when we feel a little under the weather. What is vitamin C even good for? Vitamin C is well known for its ability to brighten the skin tone, even out skin texture and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. It's also known as the MVP of protecting the skin against free radicals and UV ray damage, from the sun because of its high levels of antioxidants. Vitamin C, used to formulate the serums is able to be completely absorbed into the skin and, whether or not it actually shows promising results because of its unstable nature. So Incorporate a good vitamin C serum in your routine and get that glow.

My recommendation: The Ordinary
